Located in an idyllic location along the Causeway Coastal Route, Benone Guide Campsite provides a peaceful and private campsite for youth organisations and private group hire alike. Popular with Ramblers, Girlguiding, Scout and School groups, the campsite offers the perfect base for Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition hikes for all levels and abilities including Bronze, Silver and Gold Award.

Benone Guide Campsite is located just off the A2 Seacoast Road on the Causeway Coastal Route between Downhill and Magilligan Point, Northern Ireland.

Please note that the entrance to Benone Guide Campsite is via an unmarked lane adjoining Seacoast Road. Some GPS devices have difficulty locating the Girlguiding campsite and may generate directions to the nearby commercial premises of Benone Holiday and Leisure Park. To avoid confusion, ensure you follow the directions below when you get to Seacoast Road:

Directions

Driving westward from Downhill along the A2 (Seacoast Road), go over the level crossing. The unmarked entrance lane to Benone Guide Campsite is located approximately 150m on the right hand side.

Driving eastward from Magilligan along the A2 (Seacoast Road), on the left hand side you will see a sign which reads Welcome to Benone Holiday and Leisure Park. The unmarked entrance lane to Benone Guide Campsite is located approximately 500m further along Seacoast Road on the left hand side, just before the level crossing warning sign on the left.

Towards the end of the entrance lane there is another lane adjoining on the left hand side. Take this lane and you will arrive at the car park with the campsite to the left.

Local Attractions

There are a wealth of attractions a short walk and drive from Benone Campsite. Take a ball to the beach or enjoy swimming in the sea completely free of charge or book a surf or paddle boarding lesson with a local surf school.  Nearby, Benone Leisure Complex offers mini golf, tennis and splash pools.

Landmarks such as Mussenden Temple and Downhill Demesne are both within walking distance, whilst further afield the seaside towns of Castlerock, Portstewart and Portrush with their chocolate shops, amusements and world famous golf courses are well worth a visit. The shopping town of Coleraine is a 20 minute drive away and its cinema, mini golf, ten pin bowling and soft play are very popular with those young and young at heart!
